The World Bank's latest rankings are out. 189 Countries are ranked on their ease of doing business, from 1 – 189. The lower the number means the regulatory environment is more conducive to the starting a business and operation of a local firm. i.e. The number 1 country on the list is the easiest to do business in and number 189 is the most difficult. This index averages the country's percentile rankings on 10 topics, made up of a variety of indicators, giving equal weight to each topic. The rankings for all countries are benchmarked to June 2013.
The ranking methodology is included on their webpage, link included at the foot of the article along with a downloadable PDF with the entire list.
